Today marks the 20th day of rehabbing my post-surgical knee. In early January I tore my ACL in a mediocre crash on a mediocre run in mediocre terrain. I’ve been skiing my entire life and it seems to always happen this way. This realization has been one of intense reflection...
Experiencing a satsang with Mooji isn't something that occurs in the U.S. He lives in Portugal but every couple of years will do a residency in India. In 2020, he returns to the banks of the Ganges River in Rishikesh. Mooji is masterful at guiding people on a journey to their highest Self.
Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga, is a vortex of high vibration, awakened energy. It's a "must do" pilgrimage for anyone on the spiritual path and our second stop on our upcoming Ultimate Spiritual Adventure in India this March with Nicki Doane, and Ashley Melin.
MindBody Co-Founder, Blake Beltram, comes to us with his newest creation: Shakti's Journey. "Shatki" is a 7’ tall bronze sculpture, a transmitter of positive, life-force energy, representing the expansion of energy coupled with the power of the divine feminine.
A trip to North India isn’t complete without visiting Varanasi, the spiritual hub of India. Around every corner lies something fascinating - the maze of corridors in the Old City, Sri Ananda May Ma's ashram for meditation, the Golden & Durga Temples, Benares Music Academy, ceremonial bathing in the sacred Ganges...
I first began travelling to India in 2004. Every time I travel to India the question arises – why? In all honesty, India is a complete mess. The beauty of India is the flow. It’s no surprise that Yoga was born in India. It truly is a fascinating magical country filled with total chaos and the reason to keep going back year after year.
Our duty as SoulJours is to protect Mother Earth. This month we're donating $5/t-shirt to the new Earth Alliance, founded by Leondardo DiCaprio, Laurene Powell Jobs, and Brian Sheth. We believe Earth Alliance has a huge voice and capacity to be change makers in the climate crisis. Help us make a difference in the current Amazon fires disaster!
I first found myself in a Gurmukh Experience in 2008 on the banks of the Mata Ganga (Mother Ganges) River during the International Yoga Festival at Parmarth Niketan Ashramin Rishikesh, India – the birthplace of yoga. I had spent time at Parmarth the year before and thought their Yoga Festival sounded AUMazing. So by God's grace, I gathered a group of 15 and we set off to experience it first hand!
SoulJouris the result of a lifetime of seeking. It is the intersection of many worlds: yoga & meditation + outdoor mountain adventure + international travel + rock ‘n’ roll + design + sustainability. Short for Soul Journey, pronounced Soldier, we are a holistic lifestyle brand built on the roots of yoga for the seeker, sage, and warrior. We are a force of empowerment: a source of transformational experiences and purposeful product.
I was on YouTube and found a video of Lisa LeftEye Lopez from TLC speaking about something that at that time I had newly discovered. She mentioned meditation – the peace – that I had been on a quest to discover. She was in this location USHA Village in the jungle of Honduras. At this point I had no idea who Dr. Sebi was nor did I know USHA Village but as he began to speak about nutrition from a perspective that I had never hear before, I was intrigued.
SoulJour is a mindset. It’s the courage it takes to look in the mirror and uncover the veil. It’s the focus it takes to scream down a mountain bike trail with a cliff on one side and poison oak on the other. It’s the freedom felt when the band kicks it into high gear and everyone tunes into the same frequency. SoulJours are edgy and disruptive – while always being mindful of Mother Earth and the roots of yoga. We believe in leaving a mark, but also in leaving no trace.
