Designing the life we were born to live is a process.

The first step to reaching the subtle realms of our being is to clean the outer, more surface layers of our body. When we detox, we rid the body of inflammation, stagnation, and clutter, thereby clearing a path for new, clean energy to enter filled with all things awesome!

Are you currently feeling a deep sense of calm, joy and contentment on a regular basis
or is your mind spinning with fear, anxiety, and/or negative thoughts?
Are you feeling sluggish and murky?
Do you wake up tired and run to coffee? How about an afternoon sugar bump or another cup of coffee to get you through the day?
Do you have muscle aches and pains?

If you answered yes to any of these, this 7-Day Cleanse is for you!

We begin this SoulJour Series with a 7-Day Cleanse.

This 7-Day cleanse is for both newbies and experienced practitioners alike. There are many ways to cleanse and detoxify the body and we'll learn different methods to cleanse/fast for future use. During this time of experiencing the detoxification process together, we'll be supported in our What's App group with SoulJours from around the world.

At the end of the 7-Day Cleanse, we'll feel vibrant, clear minded and with little to no muscle aches and pains. We'll be charged and ready to serve our families, co-workers, and communities at large with renewed passion and vigor! Our immune systems will be so strong and vital that Covid will have a hard (if not impossible) time penetrating our healthy bodies!

Why Cleanse?

Cleansing is a beautiful experience. It allows our bodies to heal and rejuvenate more than any other way. All day, every day we're bombarded with products to take for this or that condition - for better sleep, a calmer mind, a boosted immune system, to not be depressed, etc. We're constantly relying on external resources to make us feel better. What if we could feel better by taking away rather than supplementing? When we look at food as medicine, we realize that we have the power to heal ourselves. When we cleanse we experience firsthand the ability of our own body to heal itself. When we take away rather than add, we are empowered to heal our Selves.

Cleansing isn't easy. There are certainly highs and lows...that's natural and it's ok! It's our body ridding itself of toxins. Even clean eaters benefit from cleanses because there are toxins everywhere – the air we breathe, hand sanitizerland we live in now, the information we ingest. There's so much to consider! This is why it's crucial to cleanse regularly...And it's so nice to be supported and held accountable by others to lift us when we might be feeling a little down and vice versa.

Fun Fact:

Eating less will extend life. "The only reliable way to extend the lifespan of a mammal is under-nutrition without malnutrition. Studies show that if you cut back on 60% of the calories mice eat, they will live almost twice as long with much fewer tumors." - James Dillard, MD, assistant clinical professor at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City

How it works:

Each day a 20ish-minute video will be delivered on What's App* led by a featured expert. Learn information about his or her favorite cleanse, why, and best practices, followed by a short meditation and journal activity.

During these 7 days, we'll commit to the following:

Eliminate all dairy, meat, sugar, alcohol, coffee.

Drink lots of water including warm lemon water right when we get up.

Check in during the day with the group upon completion of the day's task.

* There will be options for a juice fast and/or 24-hr water fast (experienced practitioners only please)

For this SoulJour Series, our spirit animal is the J A G U A R

Native to the jungle and revered in ancient cultures, the jaguar is sexy, confident, and fearless. The jaguar's gift is its vision – visualizing until manifestation has occurred. Breathing from the center of its being, jaguars are in tune with the subtle body. They symbolize the power of intent, reminding us to go within, release our fears, and heal our emotions in order to awaken our inner sight. Journeying like jaguars allows us to reflect upon the direction we are heading with greater ease – to reveal Essence, activate Purpose and rock Truth.

Nathan Mills

Nathan Mills was born to parents who were devotees of a kriya yoga practice and who also taught and practiced other modalities of meditation and movement. He was introduced to the practice of Yoga Asana at the age of 12 while working at the Feathered Pipe Ranch, a retreat center for the yogic and healing arts in the beautiful mountains of Helena, Montana. At the same age, Nathan began his study of the martial arts under the patient instruction of his Shihan. Born handicapped with a leg discrepancy of over 3 inches, Nathan approached these demanding physical practices humbly, patiently.

With the encouragement of his parents and teachers, Nathan meticulously found ways to modify the shapes and forms of these practices to suit his body. After much adversity and several surgeries, he quickly began to see the valuable benefits of these art forms and the amazing positive changes these practices were evoking physically, mentally, and emotionally.

At the age of 23, Nathan moved to Los Angeles to study film where he also continued to deepen his yogic and martial studies. During these years he helped build Budokon® Universities school of “Yogic, Martial, and Living Arts” and became one of the first teachers ever certified to teach public budokon classes. Nathan stayed in Los Angeles for 6 years working as a yoga/budokon teacher, nutritional counselor, life coach, and pursuing an acting career.

During that time, he taught in some of the most prestigious studios in the LA including Golden Bridge, Santa Monica Power Yoga, Yoga Works, Exhale Spa, and Equinox while working with people in the entertainment industry. He then began traveling to teach workshops and during that time was introduced to his wife Heather.

Nathan currently resides in Portland, OR with his wife where he works in numerous studios and offices offering yoga and body work, working privately with clients as a nutritional counselor and yoga therapist, and also lecturing publicly at studios, universities, and corporations.
