We become what we intend. And what we intend, we will do.

111 is a sacred number. It represents optimism, motivation, inspiration. What we experience on 1.11 will mark a new beginning. A true soul friendship with our Selves and others will take root. Through movement, meditation, a profound sound healing experience, and a self-reflective journey activity, we’ll gain learn how to manifest our most AUMazing life. Like the phoenix bird, we'll travel to the depths of the soul, and emerge as our most awesome Self primed to spread stoke!

This SoulJour Experience begins with a potent writing activity facilitated by Ashley Melin, founder of SoulJour. We'll then move into a slow, strong energy-moving practice led by longtime yoga and martial arts teacher, Nathan Mills. Nathan will guide a breathwork practice before sliding into a guided meditation. We cap off the evening instilling our learnings as we lie our backs for an incredible sound healing with Saffire Bouchelion on handpan drums. Experience a new soul connection, deep healing, and revitalized yet calm energy. Maria Olaya, will play her soulful classical guitar throughout the entire night.

Peace in Schools offers mindfulness and meditation programs for young people and adults. In 2014, we launched the first for-credit high school mindfulness course in the nation. Our programs teach tools for life, helping youth and adults develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, compassion, and connection. Our vision is to make mindfulness an accepted and valued discipline in education. Our mission impacts underrepresented people and communities of color through a deep commitment to making these tools of well-being accessible to all.
